Connecting and Protecting
Inclusivity prevents targeted violence by creating a culture where everyone feels safe, accepted, and included. By allowing small acts of microaggressions to continue, it creates an environment where targeted violence is accepted, creating a snowball effect leading to greater acts of mass targeted violence. Connect to Protect works to drastically mitigate rates of microaggressions, slurs, and hateful words by fostering an environment of connectivity.
CAMPAIGN STRATEGY AND IMPLEMENTATION DEPARTMENT
The events team implements our weekly trivia sessions to raise campaign awareness. Our trivia is aimed at educating players on how to avoid conflict by connecting to others in their communities.
The advertising team works to put together our website as well as coordinate online initiatives and content between other departments.
PUBLIC RELATIONS DEPARTMENT
Our PR team manages our campaign's social media, creates other marketing content and writes our blog posts. Through these they expand the campaign's reach beyond our campus.
Our research team conducted some user interviews, a focus group and sent out a survey for market research to help us develop our strategy and campaign tactics. They now use post-campaign surveys to gauge our success, and advise on adjustments to be made.
