Celebrating the Grand Opening of DPMMR's Connect Center.
Last May, supporters of DPMMR gathered at Playa Largo resort to raise funds and awareness for the transformation of DPMMR Headquarters into "The Connect Center." This massive renovation was geared towards creating more ways to connect our visitors from around the world with marine mammal conservation and bringing our mission of rescuing whales & dolphins to the forefront of our visitor center.
After months of facility-wide improvements to our infrastructure and the development of new education initiatives and programs, we are ready to officially open our Connect Center - and we want you to be a part of our grand opening!

The Connect Center is a place where visitors from around the globe come to connect with marine life and, through experiential learning, discover their ability to protect it. The Connect Center will empower thousands of individuals each year to return home to all corners of the world and help conserve our oceans. The world wide impact of this center has inspired our event theme "World Trek to Protect," and we're looking forward to "visiting" ports from around the world at our grand opening reception. Our VIP Grand Opening will feature cuisine representing 5 different ports from around the world, an open bar, a deuling piano act, ribbon cutting ceremony, and fundraising opportunities to support our conservation initiatives.
In lieu of the 2023 Connect to Protect Gala, our Grand Opening will serve as a fundraiser benefiting our "trek" towards developing a marine mammal hospital (To be known as "The Protect Center") in the Florida Keys. Due to limited space and availability, tickets are based on a minimum donation of $150 per person.
