Lifesaving support is on the way for sick, injured, and orphaned dolphins in the Florida Keys.

Dolphins Plus Marine Mammal Responder is working to develop a "Whale & Dolphin ICU" at their brand new Protect Center in Islamorada. The Protect Center will be home to the Florida Keys only marine mammal hospital. Cornerstone to the project is a 40-foot diameter pool, large enough to provide long-term rehabilitation to any species of whale or dolphin suitable for rehabilitation. Beyond the ICU pool, veterinary labs and other support areas will be developed to ensure world-class care for the hospital's patients.

What's more, The Protect Center will double as a teaching hospital, teaching veterinary students more about marine mammal medicine and teaching every visitor how to do their part to help protect whales and dolphins.

Your contribution will help us secure the most important part of the new hospital, the pool. Time is of the essence, as we never know when our next stranding might occur.
